Description
Description
This is a single mode 12G-SDI optical transceiver module designed to receive optical serial digital signals as defined in SMPTE 2082, SMPTE 424M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 259M, and DVB-ASI. It supports up to 12Gbps and is specifically designed to transmit the pathological patterns for HD-SDI, 3G-SDI,6G-SDI, and 12G-SDI. It is with the SFP+ 20-pin connector to allow hot plug capability. Digital diagnostic functions are available via an I2C. The receiver section uses an integrated InGaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC. A maximum distance of 10 km is achievable with 12Gbps SDI signals. It is widely used in 12G-SDI to fiber converter and 4K video transmission projects.

1. Average optical power shall be measured using the methods specified in TIA/EIA-455-95
2.Receiver sensitivity is informative. Stressed receiver sensitivity shall be measured with conformance test signal for BER =1x10-12
3.Vertical eye closure penalty and stressed eye jitter are the test conditions for measuring stressed receiver sensitivity. They are not the required characteristic of the receiver
4. Power budget is defined as the different between the Rx sensitivity and the Tx output power of the interface.
5. Path penalty is intended as the power penalty of the interface between back-to
back and the maximum applied dispersion
